I hate introductions. How do you quickly summarize a complex human? In regards to my career, I am a clinical psychologist. I completed my masters in mental health counseling in 2008 and my doctorate in clinical psychology in 2015. I use an integrative approach to therapy in order to understand the WHOLE person I am working with. My primary theoretical orientation is interpersonal. I am willing and able to treat most behavioral health conditions across the lifespan. My sub-interests include: chronic disease management, infertility therapy, abortion support, women’s issues, shame, and sports psychology. I also enjoy facilitating group therapy.
In regards to my more private understanding of the world, I consider myself a secular pagan witch. I focus on restorative healing, energy work and divination. I play with crystals and I love to moon-gaze. The two years prior to Covid, I founded and hosted a local Red Tent Women’s Circle. Nothing has filled the void of not having these circles in my life. I will be offering approximately two circles each month.
Brittany is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a holistic and trauma-informed approach to therapy. After completing her graduate studies at Boise State University in Boise, Idaho, she developed a deep commitment to helping individuals heal and thrive by integrating a wide range of therapeutic modalities. With 4 years of experience, Brittany combines Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Psychotherapeutic Reiki, and other evidence-based therapies to support clients on their journey to emotional and psychological well-being.
Brittany specializes in trauma recovery, anxiety, self-growth and providing an individualized approach that addresses the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. EMDR is particularly effective for processing past trauma and reducing emotional distress associated with painful memories, while TF-CBT helps shift unhelpful thoughts and behaviors stemming from trauma and anxiety. She also incorporates Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help you heal internal conflicts and build self-compassion, and Reiki to support energy healing and emotional balance. Additionally, she utilizes other evidence-based therapies to complement the healing process, ensuring the work together is both effective and personalized to each client’s unique needs.
Whether you’re struggling with trauma, anxiety, emotional pain, or simply seeking personal growth, Brittany provides a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space for healing and self-discovery. Her approach is grounded in the belief that every person has the capacity for growth and transformation. Outside of the therapy room, Brittany enjoys nature walks, yoga, dogs, live music and talking to her son about anything and everything, especially aliens.
Brittany offers virtual and in person sessions in Springfield and Mountain Grove Missouri; as well as “Walk and Talk” sessions, where the client and therapist meet at a local park to walk and do therapy. She accepts a variety of insurances, self pay and sliding scale.
